Swansea Feminist Collective proudly support the LGBTQIA+ community in the local area, with a strong and deliberate focus on uplifting trans voices. We recognise that many feminist spaces have historically excluded trans people - trans women in particular - and we are committed to being actively inclusive in response. Intersectionality is central to our work because we understand that feminism cannot be separated from queer liberation. In our meetings and activism, we regularly engage with issues that affect the LGBTQIA+ community, creating a space where all identities are respected, valued, and heard.
