PRIDE (2014)
Itβs the summer of 1984 β Margaret Thatcher is in power and the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) is on strike. At the Gay Pride March in London, a group of gay and lesbian activists decides to raise money to support the families of the striking miners. But there is a problem. The Union seems embarrassed to receive their support.
Undeterred, the activists load up a minibus and head straight to a mining village in deepest Wales to hand over their donation in person. What follows is an extraordinary tale of two very different communities uniting in laughter, love and triumph.
Gather your friends, letβs celebrate the power of standing together!
